Alexandra M. Araújo is an Associate Professor Head of Psychology and Education Department at Universidade Portucalense. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and a postdoctoral degree in Educational Sciences from the University of Minho, with research funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology.

She teaches in the areas of developmental and educational psychology, research methodology, and advanced data analysis. Her research focuses on lifelong learning and development, transition and adaptation to new contexts, well-being, mental health, and emotional intelligence, with a particular emphasis on educational and professional contexts.

She is a specialist in Educational Psychology and in Vocational and Career Psychology certified by the Portuguese Order of Psychologists, where she currently chairs the Ethics Committee.

With over 20 years of experience, she has been studying the psychological factors that underpin people’s adaptation, performance, well-being, and development.
