Rita Veloso was born in Porto in 1981, married and mother of two children. She completed a degree in Psychology at the University of Porto in 2004 and a Master’s degree at the same institution in 2020. She is currently a PhD student at ICBAS, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Biomedical Sciences.
She is also an executive board member of Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Santo António. In 2020, he joined a worldwide Young Executive Leaders of the International Hospital Federation.
Member of the Health Information Management Working Group of the Portuguese Association of Hospital Administrators. Member of the Advisory Board of the NGO “Women in Tech” and “Health For Mozambicans Children and e Families”. Between 2018 and 2021 he was an executive board member of Centro Hospitalar da Póvoa de Varzim and Vila do Conde. In 2016, she was a member of the Health Information Technology Committee of the Portuguese Health Parliament, an European initiative. For 9 years (2009-2018) she was a Director at IPO-PORTO.
